Mahesh Bhatt presents: Poison on the Platter

“Poison on the Platter”, is an eye-opening film, made by Mahesh Bhatt and Ajay Kanchan, illustrating how all of our lives are gonna be (adversely) affected by genetically modified foods. It is no more a farmer’s issue alone, it’s a matter of the consumers’ right to food safety. You and I wouldn’t even be able to separate/choose a normal Brinjal from/over a GM one, if Bt Brinjal – a GM crop produced by the mighty agri-MNC Monsanto – is let through by our corrupt regulatory body. Let’s put up strong resistance, demanding a ban on GM food/crops for 5 years, until they are proven safe for human consumption by independent, long-term studies.

If Mr Bhatt’s thoughts are truely based on scientific facts then everyone should watch. Instead of spending money on making film, Mr Bhatt should have donated money to the poor farmers. GM is good, enviromentally safe technology. Comsumer rights!!!!!!!!!!!!! in India sounds a good topic of debate.

Mr. Bhatt please make a movie on Gukta and pan masala companies serving “highj dose of poisons on the plattter” to the young generation.

director like mahesh bhatt making films on opposition to gm technology is a good thing and his right to tell truth.gm technology is against farmers.Lot of bt cotton growers in vidharbha had made sucide due to unproductivity.Govt.should not overlook this and not common citizens in India.Green revolution hybrid seeds has not changed lives of poor farmers. There farming is still not economically good and debts are still high and there life is in danger. gm technology long trials should be taken and it should be environmentally safe.

I am pleased to see this information coming to light. Unfortunately not a lot of people are paying attention yet. Being in small town Canada is a challenge to get attention to these things out in the open but I will be doing my best to change that.
